With the walls and school halls of the Samar Colleges, Inc. (SC) shining with pride brighter than ever, the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), in partnership with the Supreme Student Council (SSC), officially held its Send-Off Ceremony for its delegates in the 2026 National PRISAA Games on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at the Junior High School (JHS) SMART Room.

The activity started with an invocation and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, and with Mr. Pedro Fenellere—the athletes’ coach and Coordinator for the Sports and Development Programs—welcoming the attendees who spared some of their precious time to attend this celebration of dedication, discipline, and the countless hours of preparation poured in not only by the athletes but also by their coaches.

This was followed by the presentation of the delegates, wearing determined smiles and the hopes of SC: Lucky Maundy Ebalde (Badminton); Ronald Labong and Edmark Montero (Chess-Men); Crissa Mae Bolok (Chess-Women); Jasmine Tibar, Jaymuel Viejo, Samantha Faith Dioneza, Franscine Parales, Shane Mae Pineda, and Jasmine Nicole Lorenzo (Taekwondo); and Mr. Jovan Dacutanan and Mr. Pedro Fenellere (Coaches).

The presentation provided an avenue to recognize the delegates’ commitment not only to sports excellence but also for embodying sportsmanship, unity, and resilience beyond the competition grounds.

Encouraging words and the institution’s proud sentiments were also delivered by the Senior Vice President (SVP) for Academic Programs, Dr. Pedrito G. Padilla, reminding everyone that they are not only carrying banners but the pride of the entire institution—proof that in SC, no athlete stands alone, for behind every game is an entire academic community cheering them on their every step.

The activity eventually came to the distribution of the kits—which included personal hygiene essentials—facilitated by the OIC Dean of the Office of Student Affairs and Services, Mr. Jerick Cuevas; the SSC President, Mr. Joshua Tayong; and the SSC Adviser, Ms. Charnym Toleran, as a symbol of the institution’s unwavering support to the athletes anticipated journey, followed by an inspiring performance by one of the members of the SC Chorale, Ms. Ivy Baens, with her rendition of the song, “The Climb”.

The program concluded with a message delivered by the SSC Vice President-External, Ms. Clarissa Mae Andoyo thanking everyone who in one way or another helped in making the activity a success while, at the same time also carrying words of encouragement and good luck for the delegates, inspiring them to give their best and uphold the pride of the institution in their forthcoming competition.

Now bound for the National PRISAA Games 2026, the delegates leave not only as competitors, but as proud ambassadors of passion, perseverance, and school spirit.

Padayon, athletes, and may you bring with you not only the hope for victory, but also the determination to create lasting memories, gain valuable experiences, and learn lessons that will shape your future beyond the games.
