Samar Colleges, Inc.’s teaching and non-teaching personnel made a full-force appearance at the 52nd Catbalogan Public and Private Teachers and Educators Association (CPPSTEA) Celebration, earning multiple podium finishes at the Capitol Grounds in Catbalogan City on October 10, 2025. The institution proudly clinched 1st place in the Saludo Contest featuring the Palarong Pambansa song, 3rd Best T-Shirt Design, and 3rd place in the on-the-spot Teacher’s Got Talent Competition.

This year’s CPPSTEA celebration, hosted by Catbalogan I and Catbalogan VI Districts, was filled with surprises. Aside from raffle draws, organizers unexpectedly turned the Saludo presentation into a competition—a twist that worked in SC’s favor. With a colorful and high-energy performance from its employees, SC secured 1st place.

Adding to the excitement was the on-the-spot Teacher’s Got Talent segment, where SC was proudly represented by its talented MAPEH teachers. Mr. Jodito Dacuno showcased his vocal prowess, while Ms. Liberty Bonafe and Mr. Robert Salentes captivated the audience with their powerful moves.

Vice Governor Hon. Arnold Tan and City Mayor Hon. Dexter Uy also attended the program and shared messages expressing their support and appreciation for educators.

Another key moment was the turnover ceremony for the next host of the 53rd CPPSTEA Celebration, officially entrusted to Samar Colleges, Inc. The transition was witnessed by School President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Rhett Caesar L. Piczon, Senior Vice President for Administration Ms. Manuelilda Rosario A. Torrevillas, along with the institution’s Deans and Principals from various departments.

In his acceptance speech, President Piczon expressed gratitude for the honor and affirmed SC’s commitment to making the next celebration even more memorable.
