The College of Education of Samar Colleges, Inc. (SC) once again demonstrated academic excellence as its pre-service teachers secured First Place and Third Place in the 3rd Regional Teacher Education Quiz Bee held at the Carl Balita Review Center Office on February 27, 2026.

Leading the victory was Mr. Frankie Calda, a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science (BSEd-Science), who clinched First Place, outperforming participants from various teacher education institutions. With this remarkable achievement, Mr. Calda is set to compete at the National Level of the competition.

Adding to the institution’s success, Ms. Marylene Abantao, a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English (BSEd-English), secured Third Place, further highlighting the strong academic foundation and competitive spirit of SC’s future educators.

The Second Place award was earned by a representative from Northwest Samar State University (NWSSU).

The College of Education also extends its sincere appreciation to the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Jaquelyn G. Montales, and their coach and LET Review Coordinator, Ms. Ronalyn Abaigar, for their guidance and support in preparing the contestants for the competition.

Recognition is likewise given to the other representative from the College of Education, Mr. Mark Jerson Temporada, Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Filipino (BSEd-Filipino), for proudly representing the institution in the event.
