Samar Colleges, Inc. (SC) participated in a national education technology conference hosted by the Philippine e-Learning Society (PeLS), in partnership with Open LMS, at the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) on April 2, 2025. With the theme “Simplifying Teaching, Amplifying Impact: How Technology Can Help Our Education Thrive,” the event brought together educators, administrators, and innovators from across the country to explore the evolving role of technology in education.

Representing SC were Mr. Peter Lee M. Lacanlale, OIC-Director of the Information Systems and Support Office (ISSO), and Mr. Aaron Luceres, Assistant Programmer under the Management of Information Systems and Technology Services (MISTS). Their participation reflects the institution’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its Learning Management System (LMS) and advancing technology-enabled instruction.

The one-day event featured a series of engaging sessions showcasing successful initiatives and best practices in educational technology. One of the highlights was the use of the myLPU e-Learning platform at LPU, which has significantly transformed digital learning. The sessions also discussed the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, the evolution of digital career services and innovative approaches to faculty training through gamification.

Mr. Lacanlale and Mr. Luceres gained firsthand knowledge from various institutions, including La Salle Green Hills and Lyceum of the Philippines Batangas, on how digital tools and innovations can support both educators and students in navigating disruptions and enhancing learning outcomes.

As technology continues to redefine the landscape of education, Samar Colleges stands ready to lead with innovation—empowering its educators, enhancing student learning, and building a more connected, future-ready academic community.
